A 65-year-old man, Friday Azala, was on Tuesday remanded in prison custody by an Egor Magistrates’ Court, for allegedly raping his friend’s 12-year-old daughter. Mr. Azala was accused of raping the girl at No. 6, Agho Street, off Textile Mill road, Benin, on April 9, 2017.

The Duke of Cambridge and Lady Gaga have chatted over FaceTime as part of William's Heads Together campaign. An American teenager died after he accidentally shot himself while his friends watched on Instagram Live, according to local TV station WXIA. “I heard a big boom,” his mother Shaniqua Stephens said. “I couldn’t tell if it was a gunshot or what.”

                             The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), on Thursday expressed happiness over the unconditional release of 13 students of University of Lagos from detention at the Kirikiri Maximum Prison. The students were freed before the expiration of 24 hour ultimatum given to a Special Offences Mobile Court in Lagos by NANS to give them freedom. A statement issued by the President of NANS, Chinonso Obasi, while commending the gesture said a major crisis was averted.

Tragedy struck yesterday in-front of Imo State Government House, as robbers who trailed their unsuspecting victim and his wife, in a Camry Salon Car, after they withdrew money from one of the banks along the popular Cathedral Road in Owerri metropolis, shot him dead after snatching the money from him.                                         It was gathered that the robbers who caught up with their victim before the Okigwe roundabout, directly opposite Government House, shot sporadically into the air before ordering their victim to hand over the money. When he resisted, they shot him three times, snatched the money and took off through Okigwe Road.

It seems everyone is getting called out, as another aggrieved lady has called out her ex-lover who dumped her after getting the cookie.

A 55-year-old man Dansale Magaji, has been arrested by the Kastina State Police Command, for reportedly raping his 7-months old step-daughter, Hauwa Ibrahim, who has been admitted to the Turai Yar’Adua Maternity and Children Hospital, Katsina.                                                 Confirming the incident, the father of the baby Ibrahim Nuhu, who spoke in Hausa, disclosed that the rape was committed at Dangaski village in the Musawa LGA of the state. He also alleged that the baby’s mother, Zinai, who had separated from him approached him complaining that the baby had piles which had resulted in bleeding in her private part and anus. .

It's not really going to be an easy one for controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, as she was re-arrested yesterday even after being granted bail to the tune of N200, 000, alongside a Port Harcourt based publisher, Samuel Walson.                                        

At about 9pm last night, popular Northern musical act Morell was robbed around Central Area, Abuja. According to his manager, he was heading to Sheraton Hotel for an appointment. As they rode past Silverbird cinemas, the Uber driver suddenly parked saying that his fuel was finished. After deliberating with the driver for a while, in disgust Morell and a friend who was accompanying him for the appointment went out of the car.

SaharaReporters has obtained a document issued by WAEC declaring that Senator Emmanuel Nnamdi Uba, better known as Andy Uba, forged both a secondary school certificate and “Confirmation of Result” which he presented to British authorities.                           In a letter dated February 12, 2014 and addressed to the attention of George Smith of Public Agencies, located at 57 Peel Road, Wembley Middlesex, HA9 7LY in the U.K, WAEC stated, “Letter reference no. L/CR/CONF/05465089 dated 21st November, 2013 is fake.” Uba’s real results, as certified by WAEC in its letter to Mr. Smith, showed that he scored “credit” in only one subject, Chemistry and flunked others.
